“Professional Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolutions (Mediation)" Training Programme <3rd Cohort> (“Programme”) 

 

In order to enable your colleagues to handle conflicts in the course of daily work, we are glad to announce that Hong Kong Mediation and Arbitration Centre (HKMAAC) and School of Continuing and Professional Education, City University of Hong Kong (CityU SCOPE) are going to organize a joint training programme (3rd cohort) in October 2017 which may perfectly meet your needs. The Programme details are listed as follows:-

 


Programme Overview

 

Awarding Institution

 

1.      Hong Kong Mediation and Arbitration Centre (HKMAAC); and

2.      School of Continuing and Professional Education, City University of Hong Kong (CityU SCOPE)

 

Programme Commencement

 

Early October 2017

 

Duration

 

100 hours, circa 6 months

 

Classes

 

Classes will be held weekly either on weekday evening or Saturday afternoon at City University of Hong Kong.

 

Tuition fee

 

HKD28,000*

 

Medium of Instruction

 

Chinese supplemented by English

 

Programme Structure

Module 1      Mediation - Theory and Practice (40 hours)

Module 2      Introduction to Alternative Dispute Resolutions (30 hours)

Module 3      Advanced Practical Training for Mediator Qualifying Examination (30 hours)

 

Entry Requirements

 

1.      Degree holders (or above) in any disciplines from recognized tertiary institutions or equivalent; or

2.      Non-degree holders with a minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in

relevant areas such as law, ­financial consultancy, engineering, construction,

surveying, human resources, social work, education will be considered on an individual basis.

 

*Tuition fee shall include course materials for (1) Professional General Mediation Training; (2) Introduction of Professional Family Mediation Training; and examination fees for (3) Mediator Qualifying Examination.

 

 

Programme graduates who become the holders of “Professional Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolutions (Mediation)” may also obtain partial exemption from the “Professional Family Mediation Training Programme” of HKMAAC.
